Core course: The Art of Mime
Using traditional Marcel Marceau mime techniques, these courses
aim at giving the students a better knowledge of their body
and at increasing awareness. Students will learn how to perform
short stories and to improvise skits.
Thanks to gestures, facial expressions and body movements, students
will learn how to use the fun and the magic of mime as well
as their own creativity.
Each session is divided into three parts:
… Warm -up session
… Mime techniques: Walking, walking against the wind,
climbing
stairs, climbing a ladder, going down the stairs, going down
a ladder, pulling, pushing, sitting down, grabbing an object,
encountering a wall...
… Skit improvisations: Each student will create his/her
own skit starting from his/her own idea or from an idea given
by the class.
